PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
I just had my first photography exhibition
And it was in Arles, France.

When I was in France earlier this year, I kept saying that I wanted to visit Arles, because that’s where Van Gogh was, but I didn’t make it due to logistical issues. However, thinking about interconnectedness running through the arteries of space, time, and life, after my Ateliers Ouvert night during my residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts, where I presented Mediocritic, a gallery reached out to me saying they wanted to exhibit my photographs. It’s a chance that, for me, feels like pure luck.
But of course, I said yes. And it became my first-ever photography exhibition.
I’d always dreamed of being a photographer, but never imagined it would happen. Much like writing, I never studied photography, nor do I know how to do it properly. I think I was just curious and wanted to say something, just to transfer some feelings through images.
From 22 Sept to 3 Oct 2025, during Les Rencontres d’Arles, France’s biggest photography festival, Galerie Mamia Bretesché, organised by Cities & Artists, displayed the collection of photographs of my family.
Sadly, I was not there, but my story was.
Some of the photographs are shared below.
